Yup. You saw my title.
It's exactly like this feeling where you've just heard the scratching of nails against some hard surface.
When things don't go smoothly as we foresee.
When people don't seem to grasp the right concept over the things they do.
When people just sit there and wait for things to happen.
There's this stuff call - think out of the box. Instead of just thinking things from your own point of view, one should attempt to have a bird's eye view. Thinking in the other persons' point of view and then, you make a careful evaluation, judgement of a particular situation.
Look at a cube from All six sides. Don't just assume that all sides are gonna be the same.
If everyone in the world is going to be so self-centre and only care about thyself, there'll not be any communication. Don't even talk about survival in the modern society. You'll die of solitude.
I finally got to appreciate why my course includes communication skills 2 as a module where we learnt about corporate culture, structure organisation, survival skills in a company. Even for Essentials of Business Management - there are so many skills which strike many familiar chords to me. It's so similar to times when I'm holding a leadership position. So similar.
Certain stuffs are taught for a reason. Students and specialists particularly trained in a specific field often lack human skills a lot. That's the purpose why such weird modules pop up from nowhere in the middle of a life science course.
Certainly, stuffs like leadership skills need time to develop - cause it doesn't take a few days to do so. It takes lots of experiences. However, to develop that skill, one must first take the challenge and be willing to accept and experience all sorts of things - from failures to success, miscommunication to teamwork. Being ignorant and fearful to things isn't going to help at all.
I wish to just zap and paste a couple of stuffs from my communication skills book.
Off to dinner
*to be continued*
